This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
The short version: Pixel Wrangler has no account and no server run by the developer. Your progress stays on Your device. The only personal information that leaves Your device is what Google's advertising SDK collects when the game shows a rewarded ad.
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Advertising ID means the resettable identifier that Android provides to apps for advertising purposes (also referred to as the Google Advertising ID or AAID).
AdMob means Google AdMob, the advertising service operated by Google LLC that serves the ads shown in the Application.
Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with a party, where "control" means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for election of directors or other managing authority.
Application refers to Pixel Wrangler, the software program provided by the Company.
Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Alec Chamberland, the independent developer and publisher of Pixel Wrangler.
Country refers to: Quebec, Canada
Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, a cellphone or a digital tablet.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Rewarded Ad means a video advertisement that You choose to watch in exchange for an in-game reward. Watching one is always optional.
Service refers to the Application.
Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
The following information is created by playing the game and is written to the Application's local storage on Your Device. The Company does not receive it, and it is not transmitted to any server operated by the Company:
This information is deleted when You uninstall the Application. If You have Android's Auto Backup enabled on Your Device, Android may copy the Application's local storage to Your own Google Drive backup. That backup is a Google service governed by Google's terms and is not accessible to the Company.
The Application does not ask You to create an account and does not ask You to provide Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone or camera. The Personal Data associated with the Service is limited to the identifiers and usage information that AdMob collects when an ad is requested or shown, as described below.
Usage Data is collected automatically by the advertising components of the Service when an ad is requested or shown.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), Your Advertising ID and other device identifiers, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile operating system and its version, coarse or approximate location derived from Your IP address, and information about Your interaction with an advertisement (for example that an ad was requested, shown, closed, or clicked).
Google Play may also collect information about the Application independently of this Privacy Policy — for example crash and performance information that Google Play provides to all developers in aggregated form. That collection is governed by Google's own terms.
The Application shows Rewarded Ads served by Google AdMob. There are no banner ads and no ads that interrupt You without Your action: an ad is shown only after You choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward.
To serve those ads, Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects and may use the Advertising ID, device identifiers, IP-derived approximate location and ad interaction data to select ads, measure their performance, limit how often the same ad is shown, and detect invalid traffic and fraud. Where You have consented to it, that data may also be used for personalized advertising.
Google's handling of that data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
The Company does not receive Your Personal Data from Google. The Company receives only aggregated reporting, such as the number of ads shown and the revenue earned.
The Application uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain the consent required by law in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Where consent is required, a Google-provided consent form is presented before ads are requested, and Your choice is stored and applied to subsequent ad requests. In regions where consent is not legally required, ads are requested without a consent form.
You can limit or reset advertising identifiers at any time from Your Device: Settings → Google → Ads, where Android lets You reset Your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization. Where Google requires a persistent privacy options entry point for Your region, the consent form can be presented again through the Application.
As of the "Last updated" date above, the Application has no leaderboards, no online score submission, no achievements, no multiplayer and no sign-in. Your scores, best wave and statistics are kept on Your Device only and are never sent to the Company, to Google Play Games Services, or to any other player.
If a future version of the Application adds a leaderboard or another online feature, that version will require the relevant sign-in or opt-in, this Privacy Policy will be updated before the feature ships, and the "Last updated" date will change. Any leaderboard would necessarily publish the score and the display name You choose to other players.
The Application contains no in-app purchases. All in-game currency and upgrades are earned by playing. No payment information is ever requested or processed by the Application.
The Company may use the limited information described above for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain our Service, including saving and restoring Your progress on Your Device.
To fund the Service: to request, show and measure Rewarded Ads and to grant the corresponding in-game reward.
To protect the Service: to prevent, detect and investigate ad fraud, invalid traffic and abuse.
To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding.
We may share information in the following situations:
We do not sell or share Your Personal Data for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act, and We do not receive money in exchange for Your Personal Data.
Data held on Your Device is retained until You delete it, reset Your progress where the Application offers that option, or uninstall the Application.
Data collected by Google in connection with advertising is retained by Google according to Google's own retention policies, which are described in Google's Privacy Policy. The Company holds no copy of it.
Google processes advertising data on servers located in the United States and in other countries. This means that information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction. Google implements its own safeguards for such transfers, including the standard contractual clauses where applicable.
Your use of the Service, and where applicable Your consent given through the consent form, represents Your agreement to that transfer.
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting Personal Data collected about You.
Please note that We may need to retain certain information where We have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Data saved by the Application is stored in the Application's private storage area on Your Device and is protected by the operating system's app sandbox. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in Your jurisdiction), and We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from them. The Application is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families program.
If You are a parent or guardian and You believe Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us and We will take steps to remove that information. Where Your country requires the consent of a parent for the processing of a child's information, We may require that consent before We collect and use that information.
Depending on where You live, You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of Your Personal Data, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal, and to data portability.
Because the Company holds no server-side copy of Your data, most of these rights are exercised directly on Your Device or, for advertising data, through Google. If You are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Your local supervisory authority. If You are in Quebec, You have the rights granted by the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25, and You may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. Residents of California and of other jurisdictions with comparable laws may exercise their equivalent rights by contacting Us.
We will not discriminate against You for exercising any of these rights.
The Application, and advertisements shown within it, may lead to websites or applications that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link or on an advertisement, You will be directed to that third party's site or store listing. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services, including the content of the advertisements themselves, which are selected and served by Google.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Where a change materially affects what is collected, it will also be reflected in the Application's release notes.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
